Hello everyone, this will be a general update on my speedrun plans. I know that I said I’d be “bringin’ it back”, but after playing a bit of RE4 a few weeks ago and some X6 I realized I really don’t want to play those games as much as I did before and grind the shit out of them to better my times as much as I need to do… although it’s a project I’d like to do, I don’t think now is a good time to do it. For me to grind these runs I need to be fully autistic and motivated to do so, and at the moment, I’m not really feelin’ it.

  Mega Man

So with that being said, let’s talk about what I plan on doing instead. Over the past few months I’ve had an extreme urge to play a lot more Mega Man titles, especially now that I have the Complete Works set for Rockman 1-6 and the Japanese Rockman X3. I’d like to get reasonably good at each of these games, at least to the point that I don’t die frequently. Over the years I’d mostly been into the X series, as you may know, and hadn’t played 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 9, 10 before. Well, now that I’ve played at least 1-6, I’d like to give them a similar treatment that I did to the X series many years ago. I’m not going to main these games quite yet, but I want to play more of them more frequently.

  Doom

I also want to play more Doom as well. Sunlust ILs have gotten me back into the real enjoyment of doing IL runs. Unfortunately, Sunlust freakin’ stinks and is really annoying to do runs of. I’d really like to go back and re-do some old runs for WADs like Memento Mori, Flashback to Hell, etc. or maybe roll throw Memento Mori II, finally. Maybe also Requiem or Plutonia 2. I don’t know, I just want to play more Doom. Also, playing random other WADs, you know how it is. I haven’t really played much Doom since Ancient Aliens, and before that it’s also been quite a while. I love Doom.

  Sony PlayStation

I want to start doing weekly new speedgames, featuring the Sony PlayStation, in conjunction with my upcoming PlayStation review series. This won’t start right away, but hopefully by the time I get a few reviews done from the classic Sunday Runday lineup I will begin doing a bunch of other stuff that I haven’t played before, and it should be epic. This idea is pending further review and implementation, but hopefully it turns out to be epic.

So, what I want to do is a combination of all three things listed here, as well as the general playthroughs and stuff. I will try to do my best for the runs I want to do, and work on a few lists, archives, and catalogs on what I have and what’s coming up.
